PHYSICAL DESCRIPTIION: Typical Mountford-Miles. Blue-green eyes, dark hair, 6'3", very built and athletic. He has a slight limp with his right leg from damaged nerves when he was stabbed in the back aboard a ship, a scar showing the entry point. He has a kind smile and handsome face, and though he looks tough, he's very gentle.
HISTORY: Growing up was rather easy for Lysander, in his parents' eyes he could do no wrong. Ladies adored him, young and old, and of course in Mountford-Miles fashion, he loved them right back. He grew up knowing how to seduce women with his gentle kindness, when he was young to get an extra tea cake from the crotchity, old cook - to when he was older and have a young maiden's legs straight up in the air. Tall, dark and handsome, and adored by all - or so he thought.
Lysander was closest with his younger brother Peter, and was severely depressed when he died of consumption. He blamed himself, since he was the one who convinced Peter to pursue his dream of being a soldier. Trying for months to bury his sorrow in woman after woman, or in hunting - nearly killing off every animal on the estate. But it wasn't going to bring his brother back. Eventually, he broke out of his dark mood and started to be the loving, kind and gentle hunk of man that he had been before.
Being very involved with the family business, Lysander was always with his father, Frederick. One fateful night, on their way back from Normandy, Lysander was walking the deck, thinking of his family and responsibilities. He had decided that when he got home, he would spend more time with his other brother, Eward, and his two younger sisters, Edith and Abigail, knowing that he had always been partial to Peter and never gave them much attention. As he decided this, he felt a sharp pain on the right side of his back. It blinded him as it shot up and down his body, but he summoned enough strength to turn around and look into the eyes of the man who had just stabbed him. The smirking man leaned in close to whisper into Lysanders ear one simple little phrase, "Your brother sends his regards." And with that, Lysander was pushed over board. That night, the ship sank, and nearly all the passengers - including his father - drowned.
Floating for hours, bleeding and unconcious, he was picked up by a passing by ship and was taken back to France to be cared for. It was thought that he would never be able to walk again, but sure enough, two years after the incident, he took his first steps. Now, six years after that night, he is finally ready to return home and take back what is rightfully his, but not without a little fun first. |
